BASIC DESIGN FITS MANY APPLICATIONS

The versatile basic design of these models allows for the mounting of a wide range of devices. Footprints for 0603, 0805 and 1206 devices are available across the vertical foils. Some larger devices may be straddle mounted across foils. A horizontal foil pattern is provided on the top of the board across which three terminal devices such as SOT-23 transistors and many other devices such as trimmers may be mounted.

MODELS 6103, 6106, 6109, 6112, 6115

VERSATILE GENERAL PURPOSE DESIGN

The design of foil patterns on these models allows for the mounting of a wide range of two and three terminal devices. On these versions the same basic pattern is repeated in multiples of three foils, with the first foil of each group being an invert L-shape forming a mounting footprint for the three terminal devices such as SOT-23 transistors and many trimmers. Footprints for 0603, 0805 and 1206 devices are available across the vertical foils.

MODELS 6303, 6306, 6309 FOR SOT-89 DEVICES

These models feature dedicated mounting footprints for SOT-89 devices. The basic pattern is available in multiples of three foils, each group accepting one device. The peripheral foil areas can accept 0805 or 1206 devices mounted across line.

MODELS 6405, 6410, 6416 GENERAL PURPOSE

The design of this series provides two three-terminal device mounting footprints per 5-pin section which share a common central foil. Common collector transistor circuits can be easily fabricated. Many trimmers and other three-terminal devices many be mounted as well. The vertical foils can support 0603, 0805 and 1206 devices. The 6405 has one basic pattern, the 6410 has two, and the 6415 has three independent patterns combined on one 15-pin SIP.

MODELS 6510, 6520 HIGHER DENSITY APPLICATIONS

These designs provide two three-terminal mounting footprints per 10-pin section with four vertical foils in the center for additional components. Device sizes 0603, 0805 and 1206 can be mounted across the vertical foils. Larger devices can often be straddle mounted across foils. These are good general purpose models for higher density applications.

MODELS 6808, 6816 HIGHER DENSITY APPLICATIONS

These designs are similar to the basic pattern found on the 6500 models but with only two vertical foils between the 3-terminal mounting zones. These models were designed for medium to high-density designs where either 8 or 16 pin SIP (single in line) modules are desired.

MODELS 6908, 6916 BASIC SIP PLATFORMS

These models provide a basic platform for building simple SIP packages. large footprints for 1206 and mini melf devices are provided. Some other 2-terminal devices may be supported. The 6908 can support up to seven devices with a common buss, and the 6916 can support up to 14 devices with two independent common busses for groups of seven components. These are some of our most popular models.

MODEL 9082 - General Purpose Model, Supports 1- to 8-pin SOIC.
This general purpose SurfBoard comes with pre-installed SIP pins and features in-line mounting pads for 005, 1206 and mini melf devices. A footprint across IC terminals 4 and 8 is provided for a bypass capacitor if desired. Solder mask. Size: 0.6" x 1.1" (±0.015").

MODEL 9161 - Supports 2-8 pin, 1-14 pin or 16 pin SOIC.
This is a good general purpose model that features in line and across line mounting footprints for 005, 1206 and mini melf devices. In some cases larger devices may be straddle mounted. This model features a high quality solder mask. Size: 0.8" x 1.050" (±0.015").

MODEL 9165 - Supports 8, 14, or 16 terminal SOICs.
This is one of the most versatile and popular models. Provision is made for mounting devices both in line and across line. Component sizes 805 and 1206 can be accepted. Larger devices can often be straddle mounted on the work area adjacent to the IC. Solder mask. Size: 1.125" x 1.925" (±0.015").

MODEL 9210 - For 20 terminal wide SOICs.
The 210 provides the circuit designer an easy means of adapting wide SOICs to SIP for prototyping, testing and development work. If desired, 0805 and 1206 devices may be mounted across adjacent lines. The large foil paths make circuit measurements easy. Solder mask. Size: 0.915" x 2.00" (±0.015").
