There are several problems with this product that bear noting. First off, the factory will handle the first 4-6 weeks of maintenance and pre-programming but after that they will not answer any correspondence regarding the product, nor are factory returns possible. The user is strictly on his/her own. Several manuals and handbooks have been written by a wide assortment of users but they don't agree, sometimes even at the most basic level. There are no user serviceable parts inside which means that problems outside the scope of a user's capabilities, which are legion, must be referred to specialists who have knowledge based on years of experience but no factory training which isn't even offered. On what may be dubiously considered a positive side, some versions of this device are self-replicating so the acquisition of one can lead to ownership of several which can lead to ownership of way too many - hence the "dubious" part.

	Works, but not perfect 05/04/2008

This product does work as advertised, however, maintenance is more expensive than your average machine. While the audible warning of service need is a plus, sometimes it can be annoying. Mine seemed to need service immediately upon arrival. Do not be alarmed by a vibration from the center of the device when touched, the manufacturer says this is normal. However, the programming appears to be a little off as every once in a while, the device does not dispose of the vermin properly. On more than one occasion, I have found a half-disposed rodent on my doorstep. I can only assume that the device malfunctioned at that particular point and dropped the rodent before completing the automated disposal process. When I contacted the manufacturer about this particular issue, it appeared that my device was already out of warranty.
