These are laser diodes in a SOT-148 package. The output is rated at 15mW in the range of 635 to 645 nm range (very visible). These units are very similar to the SDL # 7501 (see spec sheet) and have been tested here at Alltronics. These are current operated devices and must be used under regulated current and voltage conditions. In other words these run on smoke, if you let the smoke out don't blame us. One of these is a good inexpensive way to get acquainted with this type of critter.
